
1. Check whether the issue is consistent
Notice when buffering happens. Is it on every channel, only one channel, only at busy times or only on one device? Test another app or website on the same device. This helps separate a network or device issue from a specific stream issue.
2. Improve the connection
- Move a Wi-Fi device closer to the router or remove physical obstructions.

3. Check your available speed

8. Reduce heat and background load

Close apps that are not needed, remove downloads you no longer use and keep enough free storage for normal system updates. If the device is several years old, compare playback on a newer supported device before assuming the internet connection is at fault. 9. Change one setting at a time

What to do after a router or device change
Buffering can begin after a router replacement, a Wi-Fi name change or a television software update because the device may reconnect to a different network or lose a setting. Confirm the device is using the intended network, enter the Wi-Fi password again if needed and run a fresh speed test in the viewing room. Replacing a device is not the first step for every buffering report, but it becomes reasonable when the same hardware struggles across several reliable apps and networks.
